Magician Manufacturer Guide

What should you know before choosing a Magician Alpha?

Magician explicitly describes Alpha and Alpha Mini as intended for off-road or private-property use. These are substantial high-power products, not automatically substitutes for an ordinary shared-path e-bike. Establish permitted use, handling, fit, support, and charging arrangements before comparing speed or battery capacity.

“Off-road” does not mean every public trail permits the product.

For a reader whose main goal is local streets and shared paths, legal suitability is the first question—not something to revisit after delivery.

I haven’t personally tested these models.

How do Alpha and Alpha Mini differ?

Both selected pages describe full suspension, a 72V dual-battery system, and selectable pedal sensing. The Mini uses smaller wheels, but it is not a lightweight version. Compare the actual dimensions, fit, drivetrain, and manufacturer-listed handling weights rather than interpreting “Mini” as easy to carry.

These are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements.

Does selecting a class mode make the bike suitable for public roads?

The pages advertise programmable class settings but also explicitly designate the products for off-road or private-property use. Do not treat a menu setting as overriding that warning or proving compliance with the law governing your ride.

The useful purchase question is:

“Can I establish a permitted, practical place to use this exact product?”

If that answer is missing, a discussion of maximum speed does not resolve the purchase.

This guide does not provide instructions for unlocking or modifying the system.

Can you manage the bike away from the ride?

Battery removal leaves a manufacturer-listed 106 lb Alpha or 103 lb Alpha Mini. That remaining weight needs a deliberate storage, loading, and repair-transport arrangement. A lower mounting opening or smaller wheel does not remove the handling demand.

Before ordering, establish:

  • Access into storage.
  • A compatible transport system.
  • Whether assistance is essential.
  • Approved battery-removal and transport instructions.
  • How the bike reaches a service provider if it cannot be ridden.

Do not rely on a rack being labeled for e-bikes. Confirm the exact setup.

What should you know about the batteries?

Magician lists two batteries totaling 72V, 30Ah, and 2,160Wh, and claims UL 2271 certification. That is a battery-certification claim, not proof that the complete electrical system carries another certification. Confirm the exact supplied packs and their documentation.

Obtain the charging and storage instructions before purchase.

The capacity figure does not establish range under your conditions, and an owner’s charging account is not a replacement for the manual.

What warranty does Magician publish?

The dedicated page lists one year for manufacturing defects in the battery, controller, motor, wiring harness, and display, and three years for the frame. It excludes wear, misuse, improper assembly, incompatible modifications, water damage, and other specified causes.

The page also says valid claims are processed within one year of initial purchase, despite the three-year frame provision. The frame term should not be erased, but its claim procedure needs model-specific clarification before reliance.

Keep proof of purchase and obtain authorization before a repair.

Is second-owner coverage automatic?

No. Magician permits a one-time transfer only after review and written approval. The second owner must contact the company within 30 days of acquisition and provide the required order, identity, condition, mileage, and transfer information. Approved coverage is only the remaining original period.

The page makes clear that technical assistance or paid replacement parts do not create warranty coverage.

An inspection or approval also does not certify the entire bike as safe or free from defects.

Can you return the bike after testing it?

The return page does not support a dependable trial promise. It contains both a 30-day section with an unused-condition requirement and a separate 14-day unopened-only section. The 30-day section also lists round-trip shipping, packaging, and a 25% restocking deduction.

Do not resolve that by choosing 30 days or assuming ten miles of testing are permitted.

The practical conclusion is simpler: do not order on the expectation of an unrestricted trial. Obtain the applicable terms before paying.

Battery purchases are listed as non-returnable.

What after-sales support is described?

Magician describes remote diagnostics and an electrical after-sales service arrangement in Los Angeles, plus shipment of eligible replacement components. Those are manufacturer support claims, not proof that a nearby shop accepts the model or that every associated expense is covered.

Ask who authorizes work, where it occurs, and who pays labor and transport.

The product pages link manuals and programming instructions. Confirm that you have the operating and maintenance information—not only assembly steps—before the first ride.

PNW reality check

Access

The manufacturer’s private-property/off-road designation leads the decision.

Rain

The warranty excludes water damage. Do not extend an individual component’s resistance claim to the whole bike.

Storage and transport

Plan around the complete weight and the weight remaining after battery removal.

Ownership

A large battery system and programmable electronics require a clear support and charging routine, not merely enthusiasm for the specifications.

Frequently asked questions

Is Alpha Mini light?

No lightweight conclusion is supported. Magician lists 136 lb complete and 103 lb without batteries.

Does “off-road” mean public mountain-bike trails?

No. Permission must be established for the actual facility and product.

Is the frame covered longer than the electronics?

The dedicated page lists three years for the frame and one year for specified electrical components, subject to conditions.

Are used-bike warranties automatically transferred?

No. Written approval is required under the transfer procedure.

What should you establish first?

A permitted place to ride, workable handling, suitable fit, and a support arrangement you understand.

This is the research I found. It's your decision.
